New England Intensity Hall of Fame

After the 2009 season, the 7th straight season New England Intensity had been in existence, the decision was made to establish a franchise Hall of Fame.  The purpose of this Hall of Fame is to provide a mechanism to recognize those members of the organization that have made significant, long-term, positive contributions to the betterment of the Intensity.  With nearly 300 players either currently or formerly part of the Intensity (as of the 2010 season), this is the rarest and most prestigious distinction.

Inaugural Class, 2009:

  Tricia Donovan

 Jojo Gauthier

Lesley Lopes

Steph Samuelson

2010:

  Torrance Brown

 Jennifer "Coco" Edwards

Kim Herrig

Bettyann Perry

2011:

  Cliff Ashley

 Charlene Casey

Maia Goodall

Nancy O'Loughlin

Induction Certificates of Inductees:

(Listed Alphabetically)

Cliff Ashley (2011)

The first-ever Staff Member inducted in the Intensity Hall of Fame, Cliff joined the team in 2006.  With his extensive background and expertise in his field, and, to perhaps an even greater extent, his tremendous communication talents, Cliff has endeared himself to everyone within the organization.

Between Cliff's pre-game and in-game efforts to prepare and maintain the players' ability to compete and his rock-solid supervising of injured players' recoveries, numerous close games won by New England were doubtless due to Cliff's contributions!

In addition to his Athletic Training duties, Cliff has worked extensively with Intensity kickers and punters, providing noteworthy empirical improvements with players he has been able to help on a consistent basis.

Torrance Brown (2010)

First played with the Intensity in 2005 and has started on both sides of the line almost the entire time.  She has been a big part of the team's steady transformation from 1-9 (in 2005) to 8-0 (in 2010). She is also the only player in franchise history to return to football twice after having children--both times taking less than 8 weeks off.  Outside of her pregnancy-related absences, she has been to over 95% of team events.

As of the end of the 2010 Season:

2nd All-time in blocked PATs, 3rd in Total Tackles, 4th in Solo Tackles, Sacks and Fumble Recoveries, and 10th in Tackle Assists.  Torrance was a 2008 League All Star.

Charlene Casey (2011)

Charlene joined the team as an original member in 2003 and played through the 2007 season.  She returned to the Intensity in 2010 and has been here ever since, earning IWFL All Star honors in both 2010 and 2011.

A force in the heart of the defense, as of the start of the 2012 season, Charlene is 2nd All-time in Total Tackles, 1st in Tackle Assists, 2nd in Solo Tackles, 2nd in Sacks and in the Top 10 in Rushing Yards, Receiving Yards and Fumble Recoveries.  She has also earned the following distinctions:  2-time Team Captain (2004, 2005).  2-Time League All Star (2010, 2011).  2011 Intensity Defensive MVP.

Tricia Donovan (2009)

Joined the team in 2004.  Majority Owner/Delegate since 2005.

As of the end of the 2009 Season:

3rd in Interceptions, 3rd in Passes Defended, 3rd in Passing Yards, 6th in Rushing Yards, 10th in Total Tackles.

4-Time League All-Star. (2006-2009)

2006 and 2008 New England Intensity Special Teams MVP, 2007 New England Intensity Comeback Player of the Year.

Jennifer "Coco" Edwards (2010)

Joined the Intensity in 2006 and has been a stalwart 2-way started her entire career.  Her work ethic, performance and leadership have been a huge and vital part to the positive turnaround the Intensity has experienced over the last several seasons.

As of the end of the 2010 Season:

3rd all-time in Tackle Assists and Fumble Recoveries.  4th in Total Tackles and Sacks.

3-Time Team Captain (2008-2010)

2-Time League All-Star (2007 and 2009)

2007 Intensity Award Winner, 2008 and 2009 New England Intensity Lineman of the Year.

Jojo Gauthier (2009)

Joined the team in 2003 and is the sole member on the current roster that has been on the team since it’s inception.

As of the end of the 2009 Season:

All-Time Leader in:  Total Tackles, Solo Tackles, Interceptions and Fumble Recoveries.

2nd All-Time in Punts and Punting Yards, 3rd in Passes Defended, 3rd in Kickoff Return Yards, 5th in Rushing Yards,

2-Time League All-Star. (2008 and 2009).

2005 New England Intensity Defensive MVP, 2009 New England Intensity Defensive MVP and Team Co-MVP.

Maia Goodall (2011)

Maia joined the team in 2006 and has played both sides of the ball for the majority of her career.  Maia's dedication to the Intensity, evident in her play, preparation, leadership, recruiting efforts and her often-anonymous generosity toward her teammates have helped, to a significant degree, re-invent the very culture of the franchise.

As of the start of the 2012 season, Maia has  earned the following distinctions:  3-time Team Captain (2006, 2009, and 2010).  2-Time League All Star (2006 and 2009).  2008 Intensity Award Winner.

Kim Herrig (2010)

Joined the team in 2007 and has been a standout O-Lineman (and, more recently, as a defensive player as well).  Kim’s and her O-Linemates have strung together the top 3 seasons for team rushing yards in during 2008-2010.  Her leadership and dedication to the Intensity were instrumental in shaping the culture of the franchise, changing it to won of success though unselfish effort.

As of the end of the 2010 Season:

3-Time Team Captain (2008-2010), 2-Time League All-Star (2007 and 2010).

2007 New England Intensity Rookie of the Year, and 2009 Co-Intensity Award Winner.

Lesley Lopes (2009)

Joined the team in 2006 and has been an integral part of the Intensity’s upward trend over the last several years.

Lesley has provided us free access to our Winter/Inclement Weather Facility (The Brandon Residential Treatment Center).

A tireless and amazingly successful saleswoman, Lesley has accounted for nearly 50% of all fundraising dollars collected.

Extraordinarily generous, Lesley has donated substantial amounts of money towards many of her teammates player fees.

A great example of what it means to have a team-oriented, mature attitude, Lesley is always supportive of everyone within the organization.

Nancy O'Loughlin (2011)

Nancy joined the team in 2007 and has, against steep odds, made an indelible and extraordinarily positive impact on the Intensity.  The consummate team player, Nancy works harder than anyone to improve herself and the team so that the Intensity might perform better on game day.

Her steady improvement and unselfish persona are the perfect model for all players to strive to emulate.  Nancy's behind-the-scenes generosity, largely unknown to most given her modesty, along with her overall outstanding attitude, have had no small part in reshaping the Intensity into the professional and successful organization it has become.

Bettyann Perry (2010)

Joined the team in 2006 and has been one of the most loyal and dedicated players in the franchise’s history, playing through numerous injuries, hardships and other obstacles that would have made most others simply quit.

Bettyann was the Center of the O Line during the time when the team transformed itself from a cellar-dweller to a fixture in post-season play.  Her efforts, along with that of her linemates helped paved the way for back-to-back-to-back 1380+ team rushing yard seasons for the Intensity and helped propel the resurgent passing attack reach new heights this past season, with new records set for passing yards and fewest sacks allowed.

In addition to being the conduit that brought us Fred the Sled, she has also earned the Offensive Rookie of the Year award in 2006 and was the Comeback Player of the Year in 2009.

Steph Samuelson (2009)

Joined the team in 2004.  Team Captain in 2008 and 2009.
