IWFL and USA Football

The Independent Women's Football League (IWFL) and USA Football, the sport's national governing body on youth and amateur levels, have forged a partnership to further promote the sport and its immense popularity among female athletes.

All USA Football women's national teams for International Federation of American Football (IFAF) women's competitions will comprise entirely of IWFL athletes.  In addition, the IWFL has named USA Football as the league's Official Education Partner and will provide USA Football membership to all IWFL coaches and officials.  USA Football conducts more than 100 training events annually on youth and amateur levels.  In the past two years, USA Football has helped train more than 16,000 football coaches in all 50 states.

This football partnership also will further strengthen girls' participation in America's favorite sport.  The IWFL will establish an "IWFL J' League" in the coming year.  This all-girls youth league will offer more youngsters the opportunity to further their participation in America's favorite sport within the IWFL's 44 markets in the United States and Canada.

Jason is an area business owner, is married and has two sons.  In his free time, he enjoys reading, weightlifting, archery and XBox 360.  His favorite quote is:  "Success awaits those who settle for nothing less".

Defensive Coordinator, Peter Brown. Coach Brown joins the New England Intensity in his first year as the Defensive Coordinator, as well as positional coach for the offensive receivers. Coach Brown employs a new, fresh outlook by implementing an aggressive attacking style defense that will provide several fronts and various coverages. Peter is well-respected and experienced from the standpoint of being a former outstanding college football player and solid high school coach to include coaching the Stoneham High school Football Team to the 1994 Super bowl.

Coach Brown holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University and started 4 years at Defensive Back for the Huskies (1981-1984) where he was elected by his peers Team Captain (1984) his senior year. After high school, James played linebacker for several years at the Semi-Pro football level for the Boston Bandits in the New England Football League. Shortly after retiring from the NEFL due to two major knee surgeries, James got into coaching the game at the Pop Warner level and the High School level.
